it's really hard to think about your future when every time you do you start to cry & smile at the same time. i don't fully have what it takes to get what i want, therefore i am now on "lock down". it's basically like i;m grounded, except i didn't do anything. i'm supposed to delete my livejournal & my myspace (but i am going to work around that), i can't go online for more than an hour a day unless it's to do research but for that i have to go out to the office so my mom can moniter me & i can't go out or have anyone sleep over. exceptions for the last rule will be made if i meet my moms requirements, which will be a lot. so in otherwords, see ya'll in january 'cause i am going to be doing homework & interning from now until then.

my flight is in four hours & i am finally getting really excited. i am off to europe for the next three weeks & the day after i get back i go to comicon for a week which is in san diego. i have a whole new wardrobe, new make-up & an dell dj filled with music (esp. coldplay, foo fighters & chanel's "fuck some hot europeans for me" mix that she made me.) if you all want to keep in touch with me while i am gone, feel free to e-mail me at themodernarmy@aol.com. i plan on spending some time on the computer to do homework so i will be more than happy to send you all updates on my trip.

i am nothing. put me under a microscope & you will see nothing but a big heart, a lot of hope, and tones of confusion. yes, the girl who had her life planned out by the age of five gets confused, more than you'd think. i look around and think "where am i?". the places that should be more than familiar are nothing but. when i walk into my back door i find myself feeling lost as i wait for my eyes to adjust from the bright summer sun. the faces i see daily have grown less familiar with the years. even at family events with all of my nine cousins, four aunts & uncles, and both grandparents i feel as if i am with the wrong family. the more that feeling grows, the more i find myself being a wallflower looking through photo albums to remind myself that i am in fact in the right house, with the right family. but the feeling has become stronger when i am with the people i trust the most, my friends. i find myself telling someone what i feel and i think to myself "do they care?". that is far from how anyone should feel when they are with their friends. but i am so redundant that i find myself questioning how much people are really paying attention. i need a new life, with new friends, a new hair color, and a new name. then i will feel as if people are listening and actually caring. one of these days i will stop being "simple yet complex".
